Marigold Thieves is an alternative rock band from Knoxville, TN, formed in 2021. The group consists of Jacob Beach, Joe Wilaniskis, and brothers, Dylan and Drew Coffey. The band’s diverse and dynamic sound can be traced to the influence of 90s groups such as Radiohead, Sound Garden, and Foo Fighters, along with folk and jazz influences. Consisting of four very passionate musicians and lifelong friends/brothers with over a decade of chemistry, the Marigold Thieves craft a captivating, emotional, and experimental modern rock sound with a nod to the past.

Since their humble first release, an EP called “Box of Secrets” (2021), and their first full-length, “Breach the Surface” (2022), the band has been hard at work writing an arsenal of songs and developing a captivating live set. Consisting of four songwriters, this band has no shortage of new material and are already in the process of recording their sophomore album and developing a wide array of songs that range from soft, delicate acoustics to raging bangers.

Their shows consist of heavy and raw emotion intertwined with high energy. With Drew’s psychedelic and melodic approach to guitar, Dylan’s irresistible, pounding bass groves, Joe’s thunderous drumming, and Jacob’s rich, captivating voice and powerful lyrics, the Thieves are starting to settle into their own sound. They continue to grow and experiment to create rocking anthems for the voices of the next generation that is both familiar and unique.
